The bail application, filed in anticipation of arrest, stemmed from a case lodged against the protest. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Omar Ayub Khan, Aamir Mughal, and Shoaib Shaheen, all PTI leaders, appeared in court alongside their lawyers.

Judicial Magistrate Arshad Mehmood Jasra granted interim bail to the aforementioned individuals, setting a bond of Rs 5,500 each. The court also issued notices to all parties involved in the case.

The hearing was adjourned until May 21, with the judge requesting arguments from both sides.

This development comes after PTI announced nationwide rallies on May 9. One such rally took place in Islamabad’s G-9 area, with Barrister Gohar, Aamir Mughal, and other PTI leaders in attendance.
