Elections 2024: Bilawal announces party’s 10-point manifesto

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has announced a 10-point party manifesto for the upcoming general election in 2024. This announcement was made on the occasion of the 16th death anniversary of the former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto.
PPP’s 10-point party manifesto
- Double people’s salaries as the first priority.
- Provide free electricity up to 300 units.
- Ensure access to education for every child.
- Establish a free healthcare system nationwide.
- Build 3 million houses for those who can not afford.
- Enhance the Benazir Income Support Program for poverty alleviation.
- Introduce a card farmers, similar to the Benazir Income Support Program.
- Introduction of Labour Card
- Provide financial assistance to youth through a ‘Youth Card.’
- Initiate the ‘Bhook Mitao Program’ to address hunger and food insecurity.

Bilawal said that PPP view elections as a spirited competition, expressing no fear but rather a determination to engage fiercely.
Highlighting their past coalition experience of eighteen months, he criticised their former partners for a lack of focus on crucial issues such as the economy, terrorism, and democracy. He called for setting aside internal disputes and joining forces to combat challenges like inflation, unemployment, poverty, and terrorism.
