IHC issues contempt of court notices for not allowing Imran Khan to meet with lawyers

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a contempt of court notice to Adiala jail superintendent for not allowing the incarcerated former premier Imran Khan to meet with his lawyers.

The IHC has also summoned the superintendent at 10:30 AM tomorrow. IHC Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan presided over the hearing of the case against the jail superintendent.

According to the writ petition filed by Imran Khan’s counsels, the IHC’s September 6 order was violated. The court approved the petition for hearing and issued notices to the relevant parties.

Notice should be sent through special messenger and Additional Attorney General should also be informed, the IHC order said.
