Imran Khan arrested in six more cases

ISLAMABAD: Founder and former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has been arrested in six more cases, pertaining to the events of September 28, October 4 and 5. However, he has not been arrested in 28 cases of November 24 protests.

The former premier was presented in court after completion of six days of physical remand. The prosecution team did not request further physical remand of Imran Khan. As a result, the Anti-Terrorism Court sent him back to Adiala jail on judicial remand.

ARRESTS IN MORE CASES

Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi Police officially arrested Imran Khan in six new cases. It should be noted that these new cases are related to the events of September 28, October 4 and October 5 protests.

The cases have been registered against Imran Khan on different days and in different police stations, for violence and disturbance to public peace and order. Some of the cases are also related to hate mongering.

Another case, pertaining to the latest protest rally of PTI on November 24 is also in progress.
