Imran Khan filed two more petitions to special court

ISLAMABAD: Two separate petitions have been filed by incarcerated founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan to Special Judge Central Islamabad Shahrukh Arjumand. The petitions have been filed through counsels Zaheer Abbas and Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry.

One of these pleas is related to Imran Khan not being allowed to speak to his children over a phone call. The petition requests for an order to allow him to talk to his children on a weekly basis. The petition also alleges that the jail authorities have not implemented the earlier order of the court in this regard.

This petition will be heard on April 14 due to the unavailability of judge Arjumand before that.

The second petition relates to regular medical check-up of Imran Khan. The petition has mentioned names of Dr Muhammad Asim Yousuf, Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Samina Niazi in the petition, to be allowed to see him.

Imran Khan has taken the position that his medical condition is not being checked either in the jail. For this petition, Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry appeared on behalf of Imran Khan.
