Poor exam performance: KP education department seeks answers

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has decided to take action against schools for unsatisfactory performance in matriculation exams.

KP Education Department has asked the principals of government schools to respond to the unsatisfactory results. The directive for responses has been sent to GGHS Khyber Colony School, Wazir Bagh School, Dabgri Gate School, among others.

The matriculation results of these schools were less than 50 percent, which is deemed unsatisfactory according to the directive issued by the education department. Unsatisfactory results reflect the performance of principals, and 9th and 10th grade teachers, the directive said.

Enrollment in 9th and 10th grades, names and designations of subject teachers, time tables and subject wise result percentages have been sought in the directive. The schools have been directed to submit the details within 15 days.
