PTI leaders booked for protesting

ISLAMABAD: A number of leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been booked in cases for protesting and taking out rallies in Lahore and Islamabad. 

In Islamabad, a case was filed by Kohsar police against PTI leaders and workers for organizing a rally. The case lists PTI leadership along with 1,000 unnamed individuals, accusing them of interfering with government operations, violating Section 144, and display of weapons.

Among those named in the case are prominent PTI figures such as Sher Afzal Marwat, Ali Bukhari, Shafqat Awan, and Shoaib Shaheen.

Additionally, Aamir Mughal, Shaukat Basra, Ayaz Amir, Khalid Khurshid, and Seemabia Tahir have also been booked in the case in connection with the rally.

Meanwhile, in Lahore, a case was registered against PTI leaders and workers in the Old Anarkali police station on Monday.

The charges levied against them include serious offences such as terrorism, kidnapping, car interference, and harassment.

The FIR also reports PTI workers damaging an official vehicle and firing several shots during the demonstration.

In response to the incident, police have arrested 42 individuals and seized sticks used by the protesters.
