Raja submits names for Imran Khan meetings, Babar Awan struck off

ISLAMABAD: As per yesterday’s verdict of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Salman Akram Raja has been authorised to submit names for meetings with Imran Khan.

Raja submitted a list for approval by the Adiala Jail authorities, including names of six PTI leaders. Names of Hamid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, Uzair Bhandari, Niyazullah Niazi, and Azam Swati have been submitted by Raja along with his own name. He removed Babar Awan’s name from the submitted list.

IHC grants two days for Imran Khan’s meetings, bars media talk afterwards

Yesterday, the IHC heard multiple petitions related to permissions granted to the incarcerated former premier Imran Khan for meetings in Adiala Jail. IHC Acting Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar issued the verdict, restoring Tuesday and Thursday as approved days for meetings.

However, the decision came with a ban on media talks following the meetings with Imran Khan. The IHC has barred from the party members or any other individual from speaking to media after meeting with Imran Khan.
