GUJRANWALA: A court in Gujranwala has issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Rana Sanaullah, ordering his arrest and appearance before the court on 12th December.
The case against Rana Sanaullah was registered at Gujranwala’s Satellite Town police station. It dates back to October 16th, 2020, the day of a Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rally in Gujranwala.
The charges against Rana Sanaullah include removing containers and allegedly running over police officers with a vehicle. There was also a delay by the police in submitting the case challan against him.
Rana Sanaullah calls for political dialogue to ensure stability
Just a day prior, Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, stressed the need for political dialogue to address the country’s challenges and bring about stability.
Speaking on a private news channel, he called for collective efforts from all political parties to ensure political and economic stability.
Sanaullah also criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for avoiding democratic dialogue, stating that negotiations could not succeed if they were clouded by threats and blackmail, coupled with anti-state rhetoric.
He stressed that dialogue must be unconditional and conducted with sincerity. “While discussions on the rules of political engagement are possible, setting preconditions is not a productive way to initiate meaningful dialogue,” he said.
