SC rejects plea to revoke Fawad Hassan Fawad’s bail

Islamabad: The application seeking the cancellation of bail for Fawad Hassan Fawad, the principal secretary of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was dismissed by the Supreme Court.

A three-member bench presided over by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan conducted the proceedings.

The apex court turned down the plea against Fawad, citing its lack of efficacy.

During the hearing, Rizwan Sati, the special prosecutor from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), stated that Fawad had been acquitted by the trial court in the referenced case.

As a result of this acquittal, the request to revoke his bail had lost its effectiveness.

Subsequently, the Supreme Court dismissed the plea, deeming it ineffective.
