Sher Afzal Marwat alleges political victimisation in legal battles

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat addressed the media outside the Peshawar High Court (PHC), revealing that more than two dozen cases were registered against him during the caretaker government.
Marwat said that he has challenged all the cases in the high court, as a result of which his arrest has been halted.

He added that if the former PTI chairman Imran Khan is sentenced in Al-Qadir Trust case, it would be tantamount to political revenge. He expressed that his statements had angered Imran Khan, which made Marwat decide to abstain from further rhetoric.
He suggested that a meeting with the Imran Khan will clarify the issues further and clear up any misunderstandings.
