Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, organized an exhibition of Pakistan’s Master painters from Karachi was held at the Ahmed Pervez Art Gallery as part of the 17th Aalmi Urdu Conference – Jashan – e – Karachi. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah and President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah. On this occasion, Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah said that Arts Council is not a new institution for me, as I have been noticing Ahmed Shah for the past twelve years. Saying something about Ahmed Shah is like showing a mirror to the sun. World Culture Festival was a significant challenge to undertake and its success is credited to Ahmed Shah. Under his leadership, World Culture Festival in Karachi was successfully completed. Today, I am happy that the Aalmi Urdu Conference is being held. Aalmi Urdu Conference is a breath of fresh air not only for Pakistan but also for Pakistanis living abroad. The exhibition today features works by masters of painting, which is a treasure. We will support how this treasure can be preserved. I request that I be allowed to participate as a common person. Ahmed Shah has revived the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi. President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah said that today’s exhibition is sending our message to the world. We are grateful to the media for conveying it to over two hundred countries. This exhibition is the soft opening of the 17th Aalmi Urdu Conference – Jashan – e- Karachi. We wanted the inauguration of this exhibition to be done by the Sindh Chief Secretary, who has also worked extensively in the fields of art and culture. Arts Council is the largest institution for art and culture. My main target is to make the youth aware of their language and culture. We are in touch with universities across Sindh and have signed MOUs with many. Over 15,000 registrations have been made for the 17th Aalmi Urdu Conference – Jashan – e- Karachi. For the first time in 17 years, the inaugural session of the Aalmi Urdu Conference will be held outside the Arts Council, at the YMCA Ground. This will be the largest conference in Karachi, where discussions will be held on Karachi’s historical landmarks, music, dance, film, theater, literature, fiction, and criticism. We have not disturbed the Governor House road in any way, and the opening will be soft. Tomorrow, we will officially inaugurate the 17th Aalmi Urdu Conference, where Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will attend as a special guest. Today, we have organized an exhibition featuring rare masterpieces by great past painters from Karachi. He further stated that I do not believe in similarity; every year, we try to do something new at the Urdu Conference. All the departments of the Sindh government, under the guidance of the Chief Secretary, provided full support for the security of the World Culture Festival.
