Champions Trophy 2025: ICC delegation in Karachi for inspection

KARACHI: A four-member delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to arrive in Karachi today for a four-day visit to assess the venues and preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to take place in Pakistan in February-March next year.
The delegation will begin its visit with an inspection of the National Stadium in Karachi, followed by trips to Islamabad and Lahore. They will assess three key venues selected for the tournament, as well as training facilities, security measures, and accommodation arrangements. Meetings with hotel management and security briefings are also part of the itinerary.

Earlier, ICC Head of Security Events and consultants also visited Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already submitted a draft schedule for the tournament, which will be finalised and released by the ICC in due course. The ICC Annual Conference has approved the budget for the 2025 Champions Trophy, marking a crucial step towards the successful hosting of the prestigious event.
The ICC delegation is expected to depart for Dubai on September 21, after completing its tour of the facilities.
