Terence Crawford is a renowned name in boxing. He is making his debut in the 70 kilogram (middleweight) weight class. Crawford has previously held titles in lightweight, junior welterweight, and welterweight divisions. He last fought in July 2023 when he secured a ninth-round TKO victory over Errol Spence Jr to become the undisputed welterweight champion.
His move up to junior middleweight is seen as a significant challenge, as he looks to extend his unbeaten streak and add another title to his collection. Crawford’s transition to the 70 kg division has generated debate about how he will fare against Madrimov, who is considered a naturally stronger fighter.
Meanwhile, Israil Madrimov remains undefeated with a record of ten wins, no losses, and a single draw. He poses a serious threat to Crawford. Madrimov’s trainer, Joel Diaz, suggested that Crawford may face unexpected difficulties against a powerful 70-kg competitor like Madrimov.
The undercard features several notable bouts. Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz will defend his WBA junior welterweight title against Jose Valenzuela. Former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr is set to make his return to the ring after a two-year absence, facing Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller.

Another key match includes Martin Bakole competing against Jared Anderson for the vacant WBO heavyweight title. Similarly, David Morrell will defend his WBA super middleweight title against Radivoje Kalajdzic, and Andy Cruz will fight Antonio Moran in a lightweight bout.
Financially, Crawford is expected to earn up to $20 million for this fight, making it one of the largest paydays of his career. Madrimov’s earnings are not disclosed but are expected to be substantial.
