Fakhar Zaman expected to resume batting practice after Eid

WEB DESK: Left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman would be undergoing physical assessment after Eid, after which he would be granted permission to resume batting, sources said.

Zaman’s rehabilitation is ongoing under the supervision of the PCB medical panel, and at present he is engaging in various ground training exercises. During his rehabilitation, he has also been taking part in running drills and has been advised to practice deep breathing and gentle stretching. He is not doing weight training for now.

Given his recovery progress, chances are that he will be available for his team from the first PSL match.

His rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has been underway since February 20, when he sustained an injury during the opening match of the Champions Trophy against New Zealand in Karachi.
