WEB DESK: In a showdown set for the upcoming Tuesday night, wrestling enthusiasts are gearing up for a riveting night of action as “WWE NXT” and “AEW Dynamite” collide, courtesy of the MLB playoffs.
As per media reports, both shows are bringing out the heavyweights, with Dynamite: Title Tuesday showcasing marquee matchups like Bryan Danielson vs. Swerve Strickland and Rey Fenix vs. Jon Moxley.
Meanwhile, “NXT” promises star-studded appearances from Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, and John Cena, the latter two scheduled to support Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes in their singles match.
John Cena, a 16-time world champion, expressed his excitement about this development. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he initiated an old-school “N-X-T” chant and extended gratitude to Carmelo Hayes for the opportunity, declaring the upcoming show a “can’t miss” spectacle.
N-X-T! N-X-T! N-X-T!

Cena’s appearance on “NXT” marks his first televised stint on the brand in its decade-plus existence. While he had previously made an untelevised appearance in May 2013 during the early days of “NXT” on The Damien Sandow Show, this televised appearance holds significant anticipation. WWE had later released clips of the dark segment in a compilation video featuring other main roster stars appearing on “NXT.”
As Cena stands in Hayes’ corner, Paul Heyman’s presence supporting Bron Breakker adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing saga involving Cena and The Bloodline. Cena has been embroiled in a feud with the stable since his return to “SmackDown” and is slated to team with LA Knight against The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa this Sunday at Fastlane.
