WEB DESK: In the wake of the recent departure former AEW star CM Punk from the All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) appears to be considering the possibility of signing the renowned wrestler.
Punk’s abrupt exit coincided with WWE Payback, sparking significant backstage discussions and speculation.
According to international media, while there are notable top talents in WWE who may not be in favour of Punk’s potential return, the decision ultimately rests with the company’s management.
According to a recent report from PWInsider, there are some top-tier talents in WWE who are “adamantly against” the idea of Punk’s comeback. However, there is at least one “top-tier star” who enthusiastically supports the notion, recognising it as a lucrative opportunity.

Nevertheless, it is crucial to note that the final decision lies with the management. At present, the WWE hasn’t revealed much about their interest in Punk. They are mainly focused on finalising the significant Endeavor deal before thinking about big signings.
It is worth noting that Endeavor, with which WWE has ties, maintained a positive relationship with CM Punk during his tenure in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). However, the presence or absence of a non-compete clause that could restrict Punk from appearing in WWE remains unconfirmed.
Furthermore, PWInsider also reported that IMPACT Wrestling expressed considerable excitement about the prospect of Punk joining their roster. However, the feasibility of the possibility remains subject to debate and uncertainty in the wrestling community.
