VISAKHAPATNAM: In a nail-biter at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-CDCA Cricket stadium, the Delhi Capitals staged a surprising comeback to defeat the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG vs DC).
The Delhi Capitals (DC) won the match by a single wicket in the fourth match of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2025 season.

Chasing a target of 210, the DC found themselves in a precarious position at 113 for 6, needing nearly 100 runs off the last 45 balls.
However, a surprise performance from Ashutosh Sharma, who scored 66 off 31, and 39 from debutant Vipraj Nigam propelled the team to victory with three balls to spare.
The LSC, batting first after losing the toss, set a respectable target of 210 at a loss of 8 wickets. The innings was anchored by Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, who scored 72 and 75, respectively.
The duo’s partnership provided a solid foundation but the LSG’s innings faltered towards the end as they lost wicket after wicket.
DC’s bowling, led by Mitchell Marsh with three wickets and Kuldeep Yadav, who took two, played a critical role in restricting the later LSG batters from scoring more.
Meanwhile, DC’s chase got off to a rocky start, losing four wickets during the powerplay. However, Sharma and Nigam changed the momentum of the game.
Sharma batted aggressively, with his five 6s and five 4s being instrumental in turning the tide of the match.
