MANCHESTER: Manchester City (Man City) defeated Watford 2-1 in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, confirming their place in the fourth round.
It was a quick start for City, as they pulled forward only five minutes into the game, with midfielder Jérémy Doku scoring from inside the box after an assist from Jack Grealish.
Watford returned fire in the 21st minute as Kwadwo Baah found the back of the net. However, the goal didn’t count as Baah had fouled 16 year old debutant, Kaden Brathwaite.

Tom Ince finally broke through with a beautiful strike from the edge of the box, curling the ball into the top left corner and giving Watford a modicum of hope in the 86th minute.
