Manchester United completes signing of Sesko from Leipzig

MANCHESTER: Manchester United confirmed the of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in a deal reported to be worth up to £74 million, marking a major investment in the club’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old striker agreed to a multi-year contract at Old Trafford and is expected to join Manchester United’s pre-season training immediately.

The transfer fee includes an initial payment of approximately £66.3 million, with an additional £7.3 million in performance-related bonuses.
Sesko was a highly sought-after player during the summer transfer window, attracting interest form several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Despite competing offers, Sesko was persuaded to leave RB Leipzig for Manchester United, citing the club’s long-standing history and promising future project as key factors in his decimos.
Known for his physicality, technical skills and goal-scoring ability, Sesko first made his mark in the Bundesliga, where he developed into one of Europe’s most promising young forwards during his time with RB Leipzig.

The acquisition comes amid wider squad reshaping at United. Questions has emerged over the future of current striker Rasmus Hojlund, with reports suggesting the club may entertain offers in the region of £40 million for the Danish forward.
