Mohammad Amir thanks CM Nawaz for intervention in PSL incident

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Amir expressed his gratitude towards Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for intervening in a recent incident during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.

Earlier, Amir had accused the Deputy Commissioner of Multan of mistreating his family members at the stadium, alleging that they were unjustly removed and had asked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to look into the police misbehavior.

Following his public complaint, Maryam Nawaz reportedly reached out to Amir to address the situation.

Subsequently, Amir took to Twitter to acknowledge that the Deputy Commissioner of Multan himself had resolved the misunderstanding, and he extended his best wishes to him. He also thanked the CM for her prompt response.

This incident occurred on February 26th during a PSL match, where the families of Mohammad Amir, Umar Amin, and Moin Khan were reportedly removed from the players’ box by district administration officials.

The Quetta Gladiators’ players and management strongly condemned the incident and called for action from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) against such behavior.
