LAHORE: Pakistan’s Naseem Shah is among the players included in the shortlist for the SA 20 auction taking place on October 1 in Cape Town.

The SA 20 is South Africa’s premier T20 cricket league and is set to kick off on January 9 of next year in South Africa.

Ahead of the start date, a player auction will be held on October 1, which will include 73 foreign players from 14 countries alongside 115 South African players.

Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah is among the players included in the shortlist for the auction. His reserve price has been set at 1.5 million rand, which is equivalent to over RS 24 million.

Leg-spinner Usman Mir is also included in the players draft for the auction, with his reserve price set at 850,000 rand, equivalent to nearly RS 14 million.

“I am looking forward to see how the teams finalise their squads from this competitive auction list of players,” said current SA20 commissioner and former South Africa cricketer, Graeme Smith, according to ESPNcricinfo.

The SA 20 league will start on January 9 of the next year in South Africa.
