Legends XI captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has decided to bowl after winning toss at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

The high-profile encounter, organised by Peshawar Zalmi, will see the franchise face off against a star-studded Legends XI. The “Khel Se Khidmat” (service through sports) match aims to raise crucial funds for thousands of families displaced and devastated by recent floods that swept through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab, destroying homes, farmland, and livelihoods.

The under-construction venue is set to host 17,000 spectators as Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam, along with cricket legends including former captain Shahid Afridi, will be joined by the greats of Pakistan cricket in the exhibition match. The star-studded lineup includes Younis Khan, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Hafeez, Rashid Latif, Azhar Mahmood, Saeed Ajmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Yasir Shah, Umaid Asif, Azhar Ali, Imran Farhat, Humayun Farhat, Ihsanullah, Yasir Hameed, Kamran Ghulam, Abdur Rehman, Mohammad Irfan, Moazzam Sadaqat, Zulfiqar Babar, and Mohammad Salman. The match promises to be a memorable occasion for cricket fans, offering a rare opportunity to witness multiple generations of Pakistan’s cricketing superstars share the same field.

Tickets are priced at Rs1,000 for general seats, while 800 VIP and 200 VVIP tickets are also on sale, with the latter costing Rs50,000 each, many of which have already been purchased by the KP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur and cabinet members.

All proceeds from ticket sales, available through local sports complexes, will go directly toward relief and rehabilitation, with organisers pledging complete transparency. Beyond financial support, the event is designed to bring communities together through the unifying spirit of cricket.
