How is NRR calculated
The net run rate has become a prevalent metric in contemporary cricket tournaments, including World Cups and other international competitions. It serves as an important measure in evaluating team performance across limited-overs formats, quantifying the balance between runs scored and runs conceded by each team.

In simpler terms, we assess how many runs a team scores against how many runs their opponents score against them. For instance, if a team scores 300 runs in a match and restricts their opponents to just 200 runs before the innings concludes, their net run rate will be favourable because they scored more runs than their opponents.
The rate plays a critical role in determining which teams advance to the next round in world cups and similar tournaments.
