Shan Masood dropped as captain: new selection committee

LAHORE: After losing to England on Friday, sources claimed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to remove Shan Masood as captain from the national team.
Masood led Pakistan in their historic loss on Friday, which tied their record for Pakistan’s longest losing streak in tests at six losses in a row. It is the most consecutive losses for a Pakistan Captain.
Pakistan became the first team in cricket history to lose by an innings after scoring voer 500 runs in their first innigns.
A meeting will be held on Friday, where Masood’s dismissal could be made final. He is also reportedly being dropped from the new selection committee.
The new selection committee will include Aleem Dar, Aqib Javed, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, and Hasan Cheema as voting members, according to sources.
Assitant coach Azhar Mahmood will also be included in the non-voting members of the selection committee.
The PCB’s director high performnace, Nadeem Khan, and Director International, Usman Wahla, will also become non-voting members of the selection committee.
