T20 series: Pakistan win toss, choose to bat first against Bangladesh

LAHORE: Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first in the opening clash of the T-Twenty series against Bangladesh at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The national team lineup includes Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Muhammad Haris, Hassan Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf, Hassan Ali, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmad, and captain Salman Ali Agha.

The Bangladeshi team includes Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Zakir Ali, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam and the captain Litton Das.

After the toss, Pakistan’s captain Salman Agha said his team was well-prepared and eager to make a strong impression against their rivals.

Bangladesh T20 captain Litton Das commented that his team also preferred to field first, especially since it was his first time playing on this ground.

The trophy for the Pakistan-Bangladesh T20 series was unveiled Tuesday, at Gaddafi Stadium at 6:15 PM.

Originally, a five-match series between the two nations was planned and set to start on May 25. However, due to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India earlier this month, the series was rescheduled.
