T20 Women’s World Cup: Pakistan prepares against India standoff

DUBAI: The Pakistan women’s cricket team conducted a practice session at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Academy Ground on the eve of their second Group A match against India at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Under the guidance of their head coach, Mohammad Wasim, the players focused on fielding, bowling and batting drills.

The Pakistan women’s team is set to face its traditional arch-rivals, India, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium during the T20 world cup. The match between the famed rivals is expected to draw huge crowds due to the longstanding rivalry between the two South Asian giants.
The two South Asian teams are looking to secure much-needed points to advance to next round of the tournament.
During the practice session, the Pakistani players were drilled on the importance of teamwork and strategy. The match against India is extremely important to move forward in the tournament, with the Women in Green determined to give it their all.
