Memorial Day: public holiday being observed in US

Memorial Day, a federal holiday, is being observed today in the US today (Monday) to mourn and honour its deceased service men and women.

Bird flu virus particles were found in tissue samples taken from one dairy cow sent to slaughter at a United States (US) meat processing plant, but none were detected in samples from 95 other cattle, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) said on Friday.
