HARIPUR: In a significant stride towards the modernization of Pakistan’s agricultural sector, The University of Haripur hosted the inaugural National Agri-Tech Expo in collaboration with Metrix Pakistan and the Youth Affairs Department of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government.
This two-day event symbolized a collective commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable development in agri-tech, said a press release.
Against the backdrop of evolving global agricultural landscapes, the expo emerged as a beacon of progress, attracting over 10,000 students and featuring the participation of more than 50 companies. From cutting-edge technologies to visionary solutions, the exhibition floor buzzed with the excitement of discovery and the promise of transformative advancements in agricultural practices.
Karakoram International University Vice-Chancellor Dr Attaullah Shah emphasized the pivotal role of collaborative endeavours between academia and industry in propelling technological innovation and economic prosperity.
The University of Haripur Vice-Chancellor Dr Shafiq ur Rehman talked about the institution’s dedication to forging strategic partnerships with leading enterprises.
Dr Rehman emphasized the transformative potential of such alliances in nurturing a fertile ground for research, entrepreneurship, and societal impact, thereby laying the foundations for a vibrant agri-tech ecosystem.
The support from the KP Youth Affairs Department reaffirmed the strategic alignment between public policy imperatives and the aspirations of stakeholders, cementing the expo’s status as a catalyst for positive change.
