WEB DESK: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the 18-year-old daughter of actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, formally removed “Pitt” from her surname.
In May, Shiloh filed a petition in the state California, United States to change her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. According to legal experts, the process to name one’s name requires publishing a notice in “The Los Angeles Times” for four consecutive weeks and providing written notification to both parents.

Name change petitions typically proceed smoothly under normal circumstances, with objections being rare in court. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, now legally an adult, has a right to choose her name despite any potential objections.
The decision to drop her father’s surname follows similar actions taken by her siblings Zahara and Vivienne in recent years.
The Jolie-Pitt family has been in the public eye since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016. Their divorce proceedings, including disputes over assets like the Château Miraval winery in France, have been ongoing and unresolved.
