As the United States (US) presidential election campaign reaches its climax, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump delivered a bizarre speech on the final day, declaring that his country is “ruled by stupid people”.
In quintessential Trump fashion, the former US president made several declarations. He expressed confidence in his party’s chances of winning. “In all swing states, we will win!”

The reality media mogul declared that “we did not lose; the people voted us in the White House”. He also pledged to tackle inflation and improve the economy if elected.
Trump also grabbed the contentious issue of immigration by the horns, promising that if elected, he would “stop the entry of criminal professionals into the country”. He said that he would ‘secure’ US borders, which he claimed were safe during previous administration.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris took to the campaign trail in Pennsylvania. She talked about solidarity for all US citizens.
The Vice President thanked her supporters and encouraged them to “enjoy the moment” as the election day neared.
The Democratic candidate is focusing her efforts on key states, holding rallies in Allentown, Reading, and Pittsburg before concluding her campaign with a huge rally in Philadelphia.
She was joined by high-profile celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Lady Gaga at the Philadelphia rally. She aims to galvanise support and increase voter turnout.
As November 5 looms in the US, forecasts for the polling in critical states such as Wisconsin and Michigan indicate potential rain. This could majorly impact voter turnout.
