At least 6 Palestinians killed in Israeli strike on West Bank’s Jenin

At least five Palestinians were killed and several were injured in an Israeli strike on Jenin in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

JENIN: At least five Palestinians were killed and several were injured on Tuesday in an Israeli strike on Jenin in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, a statement by the Palestinian health ministry said.

Earlier, the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said Israel will not compromise on security and will intervene if it sees a ‘threat’ from Gaza in the future, on Tuesday as a ceasefire deal with Hamas appeared to be close to being agreed.

“And if we will see terrorism in the Gaza Strip at any point in the future, we will do the same thing we are doing in Judea and Samaria,” he told a press conference in Rome with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

Saar employed a term widely used in Israel for the occupied West Bank, where Israeli troops regularly conduct raids against Palestinians.
