Hezbollah fires retaliatory rockets at Israel; Israel strikes launch site Lebanon
GAZA: Hezbollah said it launched dozens of rockets at Israel as tensions in the Middle East soared with Iran and its allies reading their response to the killing of Hamas’s political chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran earlier this week.

Hezbollah said its rocket attacks on Moshav Beit Hillel in Israel injured civilians there. It also said it was a retaliatory attack to Israel’s strikes on Kfarkela and Deir Seryan in Lebanon and after an Israeli strike in Beirut killed Fuad Shukr, a senior military commander from Hezbollah.
International media claimed no loss was reported in Hezbollah attack.
On the other hand, the Israeli army on Sunday (August 4) released video of what it said were strikes on a Hezbollah launcher from which they claimed “approximately 30 projectiles” were fired overnight into northern Israel, as well as what they called terrorist infrastructure, both in the area of Marjayoun in Lebanon.
A wave of rockets was fired near the border about 25 minutes after midnight. Israeli media said “dozens” of rockets had been fired from Lebanon into Israel.

Israel’s Iron Dome missile defence system went into action and the army claimed to have intercepted most of them.
“One projectile was identified falling in the area of Beit Hillel, and several fell in open areas. No injuries were reported,” the Israeli Army telegram channel stated.
