The IDF stated that Ismail played an important role in coordinating multiple attacks against Israel, including the firing of rockets into Israeli territory.
In a statement shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the IDF confirmed that Ismail was killed along with his deputy, Hossein Ahmed Ismail, during the assault.
It also targeted other Hezbollah leaders.
The occupying force said it has characterised Mohammad Ali Ismail as a central figure within Hezbollah’s military strategy, particularly in overseeing missile operations directed at Israel.
The airstrikes occurred in the heavily populated Dahiyah suburb of Beirut and are part of Israel’s ongoing bombardment in what it claims is ‘destroying’ Hezbollah’s military infrastructure.
The IDF claims to be targetting only Hezbollah command centre, but videos from Lebanon show entire buildings leveled from Israeli airstrikes.
Israeli media has also claimed the alleged death of Hezbollah chief’s daughter, Zainab Nasrallah.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah has yet to confirm the reported deaths.

Ismail’s death represents a huge blow to Hezbollah. It also shows a notable escalation in brutality by Israel. Israel officials have warned that Lebanon may face similar ‘consequences’ as those experienced in Gaza.
