NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to Indian Muslims and the global community on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In a message shared on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Modi expressed his best wishes and conveyed prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity. He wrote, “Eid Mubarak! Best wishes on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. May harmony and togetherness always prevail. Let there be joy and prosperity all around.”

Reflecting on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Indian President Droupadi Murmu emphasised the importance of following the path of truth with patience, drawing attention to the Prophet’s example of creating an egalitarian society. She encouraged everyone to adopt these values and continue working towards the nation’s development.

President Murmu also reiterated hopes for harmony and unity to prevail, ending the tweet with warm wishes for a prosperous Eid Milad-un-Nabi for all.

Rabi-ul-Awwal moon was sighted in India on September 4, with the 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal celebrated across the country on Monday.
