Israel, US and Qatar in ceasefire talks as Israel continues indiscriminate killing

DOHA: Negotiations continued between Israel, the United States (US) and Qatar aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.
Tensions soared in the region following the assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Iran’s response of sending over a hundred ballistic missiles towards Israel.

The occupying force retaliated aggressively by targeting several military and even nuclear plants within Iran.
While the Iranian and Israeli diplomats exchanged barbs at the United Nations Security Council, ceasefire talks continue in Doha. However, this did not stop Israel from continuing its relentless killing spree.
The director of Mossad, Israel intelligence, held discussion with the CIA director and the Qatari Prime Minister to explore potential new ways for de-escalation.
While the talks are focused on recent developments and prior proposals, no formal discussions have yet taken place with Hamas.
The Israeli Prime Minsters Office confirmed that discussions between the mediators and Haams concerning the ceasefire will continue.
Meanwhile, humanitarian situation in Gaza worsened, with reports indicating that at least 100 palesitians were killed during a 24 day Israeli military operation in northern Gaza.
Palestinian officials reported that many of the casualties are women and children. Two Palestinians were also killed and several injured in an Israeli strike on the Jabalia refugee camp.
The total death toll from Israeli brutality in Gaza has reached 43,020.
Similarly, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon’s Beqa Valley killed at least 60 people, with around 100 people injured.
Israeli military targeted 18 sites in the region. This has risen the death toll in Lebanon alone to 2.710 deaths, with over 12,592 people injured.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden called for a immediate end to Israerl’s military operation in Gaza. Speaking to reporters after casting early vote, Biden said that a ceasefire was “necessary”.
The octogenarian indicated that he was renewing efforts to end the siege.

Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, heavily criticised the recent ban on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) that works with Palestinian refugees in the region.
Abbas stated that it violated the international law and hampered humanitarian efforts in the reigon.
