Israeli attacks claim 40 more Palestinian lives

GAZA: Israeli bombardments and attacks led to the deaths of 40 more Palestinians, pushing the total casualty count to 36,479 as of early Tuesday.
Jabalia and Beit Hanun have faced significant impact, witnessing extensive destruction following three weeks of relentless Israeli military operations and bombardments.

More than one million Palestinians have been displaced from Rafah as well due to the ongoing invasion.
Meanwhile, United States (US) National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan stated that Israel has indicated its “readiness” to sign a ceasefire agreement. Sullivan said that a ceasefire was necessary for the well-being of “both” Gaza and “Israel”. He urged diplomatic efforts to halt the violence.
In an effort to expedite the approval of the ceasefire, US President Joe Biden reached out to the Emir of Qatar. Biden sought the assistance of the Qatari Emir in brokering a ceasefire agreement and urged Qatar to utilize its influence to persuade Hamas to accept the proposed ceasefire terms.
The United States has also urged the United Nations Security Council to swiftly adopt the ceasefire.

The insistence on a ceasefire follows international efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and restore stability to the region amidst ongoing violence and displacement.
