Oxfam warns of Israel weaponising water access in Gaza


GAZA CITY: The attacks in central Gaza have resulted in the deaths of 54 more Palestinians in latest escalation of violence by Israel against Palestinians.

GAZA CITY: Oxfam has raised concerns that Israel is using water as a weapon against Palestinians in Gaza, the international aid organisation said.

The group stated that the situation is “catastrophic” due to Israel cutting 94 per cent of Gaza’s water supply.

Meanwhile, Israel continued to pound central Gaza that resulted in the deaths of 54 more Palestinians. The number of Palestinian fatalities in Gaza has now risen to 38,848.

Israel parliament passes resolution

The Israeli parliament also passed a resolution against the establishment of a Palestinian state. The United States (US) has stated that it will continue to do everything possible to resolve the distance between the parties.

The UN Secretary-General has described the Israeli resolution as “regrettable,” while France, Turkey, and Qatar have all condemned the move.
