Mount Arafat holds significant importance as the place where the Prophet delivered his Farewell Sermon during his final pilgrimage. Pilgrims from around the world convene on the ninth day of Zil-Haj, the last month of the Islamic calendar, to pray and contemplation at the sacred site.
The Imam of Nimra Mosque delivered a sermon to Hajj pilgrims at Arafat, where the pilgrims combined the Zohar and Asar prayers.
After performing combined Maghrib and Isha prayers, pilgrims will spend the night in Muzdalifah under the open sky. They will offer Fajr prayer on the tenth of Zil-Haj before traveling back to Mina for the ritual of Rami, which involves stoning the large Satan.
Upon completing the stoning ritual, the pilgrims will either shave their heads or trim their hair to a specified length. This marks the conclusion of Haj, after which they will change out of their Haj garments (Ahram).
The Haj is one of the five pillars of Islam and draws millions annually to Makkah.
