WASHINGTON: The Associated Press and CNN joined Fox News in calling the 2024 election on Wednesday for the soon to be 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Trump continued his dominance in the swing states, by adding Wisconsin to the list of states he;s won. The president-elect took the state by just over 40,000 votes. Trump had already previously won the swing states of North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, which all but assured his victory.
The 45th and 47th president of the US is also in the lead of the remaining swing states including Nevada, Arizona, and Michigan.
It was a dominant election victory for the president-elect, in which he became the first president since George W. Bush in 2004, to win both the election and the popular vote.
If Trump wins the states he is currently in the lead of, he will likely finish with 312 electoral votes.
