Trump

PALM BEACH: United States president elect Donald Trump addressed his supporters in the early hours of Wednesday, after American media projected his 2024 election win. The 45th and soon to be 47th president of the US thanked many people ranging from his family, his vice president, Elon Musk, and even Dana White.

“This was a movement like nobodies ever seen before,” Trump said before adding that his campaign was “the greatest political movement of all time.”

“Were going to help our country heal,” said the president elect, pointing to tighter borders as one such way to fix the country, while reassuring his supporters that he is there to help them.

“Every citizen i will fight for you, for your family, and your future. every single day i will be fighting for you with every breath in my body,” said Trump, promising to deliver the “strong safe and prosperous america that our children deserve.

“This will truly be the golden age of america,” said the president elect.

SWING STATE SWEEP

Trump then discussed his dominant victory, one which saw him ensure his victory after winning the swing states of North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania on his way to reaching 270 electoral votes. He pointed out that beyond the aforementioned swing states, that he was also “winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska, which will result in us carrying at least 315 electoral votes.”

“We also have won the popular vote, that was great,” gushed Trump as the crowd began chanting “USA!”. The 2024 election marked the first time that a Republican candidate won both the popular vote and the election since George W. Bush in 2004.

Trump then discussed how Republicans “have taken back control of the senate,” exclaiming, “wow, that’s great!” Winning the upper chamber of the US Congress ensures that Democrats will not be able to block much of Trump’s agenda, such as appointing conservative judges or other government personnel.

“It also looks like well be keeping control of the House of Representatives,” added the president elect.

JD VANCE

Trump then began to thank the various people who helped him win the 2024 election, beginning with his family and “amazing children,” before praising the Vice President elect, JD Vance as he ushered him up to the stage.

“Well Mr president I appreciate you allowing me to join you on this incredible journey,” Vance said, beginning his praise for Trump’s election win which he dubbed “the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America.”

“Under president trumps leadership we are never gonna stop fighting for you, for your dreams, for the future of your children, and after the greatest political comeback in american history, were going to lead the greatest economic comeback in american history under Donald Trumps leadership,” said Vance. The latter half of his comment appealed to one of the major concerns of american citizens, that may have led them to voting for Trump, inflation. Under US President Joe Biden, inflation peaked at 9 per cent in 2022, a four-decade high. By September 2024, it had declined to 2.4 per cent.

Upon his return to the stage, Trump brought attention to America’s borders once again.

“We’re going to have to seal up those borders, and were going to have to let people come into our country, we want people to come back in, but we have to come back in, but they have to come in legally.”

“He’s an amazing guy, we were sitting together tonight, you know we spent two weeks in Philadelphia and different parts of Pennsylvania campaigning,” said the soon to be 47th president of the US, before getting lost in a story about watching a rocket launch by Space X, Musk’s spacecraft company.

“This spaceship came down, and i saw those engines firing, and it looked like it as over, it was going to smash,” said an excited Trump before raving about how the rocket landed safely and was held “just like you hold your baby at night.”

The president elect then discussed how Musk had aided the people of North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. “The people from North Carolina came to me and they said would it be possible, at all possible, for you to speak to Elon Musk, we need Star-Link.”
