Trump seeks recusal of hush money judge

WASHINGTON: Lawyers of Donald Trump on Thursday again asked the judge overseeing the former US president’s criminal trial on charges stemming from hush money paid to an adult star to recuse himself, citing his daughter’s work for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Justice Juan Merchan has denied previous recusal requests by Trump’s lawyers. Harris is poised to become the Democratic nominee in the November 5 election, in which Trump is the Republican nominee.
