US-Iran nuclear talks to continue next week: Oman FM

Negotiations between the United States and Iran on a potential nuclear deal will continue with a fourth round next week, mediator Oman’s foreign minister said on Saturday.

“Talks will continue next week with a further high level meeting provisionally scheduled for May 3,” Badr Albusaidi posted on X, adding that “core principles, objectives and technical concerns were all addressed” in Saturday’s meetings in Muscat.

Separately, Tehran and Washington have said they held “positive” and “constructive” talks in Oman on Saturday (April 15) and agreed to reconvene this week.

“The United States is going to need a coordinated diplomatic strategy with its European allies going into these negotiations with Iran,” said Blaise Misztal, vice president for policy at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America.
