MIANWALI: The legal saga continues for the Chairman of PTI Imran Khan, with another First Information Report (FIR) now on the books at the City Police Station in Mianwali.
This latest FIR sees PTI Chairman and former National Assembly member Amjad Ali Khan named as a nominee in a fraud case.
The charges in the Mianwali FIR are serious, alleging a criminal breach of trust under section 406 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Accountability court issues arrest warrants for PTI chairman
According to PPC 406, “Whoever commits criminal breach of trust shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to [2][seven] years, or with fine, or with both and is a non- bailable offence”.
This legal development unfolds in response to a complaint filed by the former Vice-Chairman of the Municipal Committee in Mianwali City.
According to the application, an amount of Rs5 million was embezzled and deposited in the Namal University at the behest of Imran Khan.
