Two children drown in Rawalpindi rain drainages

RAWALPINDI: In separate incidents, two children have tragically drowned in drainage ditches in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

Rescue operations are currently underway to locate and recover the children, according to a spokesperson for the rescue services.

Heavy rain lashes Islamabad

The first incident occurred on Bostan Khan Road, where a five year old boy fell into a sewer drain. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the location and are working diligently to locate the child.

In a similar incident, a eight year old girl drowned in a drainage ditch on Adiala Road. Authorities have launched a search operation to find her.
