Israel wants to occupy Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Israel aims to occupy Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt under the garb of the October 7 incident and the hostages.

Addressing an all parties conference organised to express solidarity with the Palestinians, Bilawal expressed his gratitude to the president and the prime minister for convening the conference to discuss the Palestine issue, stressing that every Pakistani stands united on this cause. “The entire nation is on the same page for Palestine,” he said.

He added that some international powers mistakenly believe that Pakistan and its politicians are divided on this issue. “All political parties and the nation are united with the prime minister on the issue of Palestine. We have not forgotten our Palestinian brothers, sisters, and children, and we will continue to raise our voices until they receive their rights.”

Bilawal suggested that the prime minister form a committee on the Palestine issue and appoint its members as honorary ambassadors to represent Palestine internationally. He also recommended presenting a comprehensive resolution from the all-parties conference to the world, highlighting Pakistan’s stance.

Discussing the events of October 7, Bilawal said, “It is portrayed as though there was peace until then, and suddenly, the Palestinians launched an attack. In reality, four generations of Palestinians have suffered, with the world on one side and the Palestinians on the other.”

He noted Israel’s focus on hostages, stating, “We also wish for a world without hostages, and those taken after October 7 should be freed. However, Palestinians’ children, elderly, and women in Israeli prisons who must also be released.”

Bilawal questioned Israel’s claims, saying, “If their goal is truly the freedom of hostages, how many have they released following their brutal actions? How many hostages have been freed from Israel’s operations?”

He further highlighted that there are hostages in other countries such as Lebanon and Yemen, accusing Israel of using the issue of hostages, along with October 7, as a mere pretext to occupy Palestine, Lebanon, and Egypt.

Bilawal affirmed that Pakistan has consistently exposed the Zionist agenda both within the Muslim world and on the international stage and vowed that this effort will continue globally. He also pointed out that, despite their governments’ policies, people in the United States and the United Kingdom support the Palestinian cause and have stood up against injustice.
