WEB DESK: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken decisive steps to alleviate the burden on low-income individuals seeking housing, as per an announcement from her spokesperson.
In a recent directive, she has called for a reduction in housing installments aimed at making home ownership more accessible.
Additionally, she has set a deadline for the identification of land parcels earmarked for housing construction across various districts.
During a meeting convened to assess the progress of the ambitious one lakh houses project, CM Maryam Nawaz underscored her unwavering commitment to eradicating homelessness in Punjab.
According to The News, she emphasised the principle that every citizen should have a place to call home, aligning with the government’s core objective of ensuring affordable housing for all.
Critical issues surrounding the housing scheme for low-income individuals were highlighted by the Secretary of Housing during the session.
