February 1 update: petrol price in Pakistan increased by Rs13.55

ISLAMABAD: The petrol prices in Pakistan have been increased by Rs13.55 per litre, following the bi-weekly review conducted on Wednesday, brining the new price for petrol to Rs272.89 per litre.
In a fortnight review, the government increased the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs2.75 per litre, bringing it from Rs276.21 to Rs278.96.per litre.
The government of Pakistan has decided to bring changes in the current prices of Petroleum products during the fortnight starting from 1st February 2024 as recommended by Oil and Gas regulatory Authority (OGRA).
The new price of petrol will come into effect from tomorrow, February 1, 2024, and will remain in place until February 15, 2024.
Today’s announcement of the revised petrol price holds significant importance as it marks the final review of petrol prices before the general election scheduled to take place on February 8, 2024.

The above mentioned new petrol prices will be applicable throughout Pakistan from Friday, including Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi.
In the last fortnightly review held on January 15, the petrol price in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs259.34 per litre nationwide.
