Gold price in Pakistan breaks all records, surges to new all-time high


KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Wednesday, breaking all records by closing at a new all-time high, following gains in global markets.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs2,300, reaching a record high of Rs264,000.

Similarly, the price of 10 grammes of gold increased by Rs1,972, bringing it to Rs226,337, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This follows a rise of Rs1,300 on Tuesday, which saw the price settle at Rs261,700.

On the international front, gold prices also saw an increase. APGJSA reported that the price of gold was $2,524 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20, marking a daily rise of $23.
