Gold price drops by Rs1,100 to Rs276,200 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: In the local market, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs1,100 and settled the last trading day at Rs276,200 per tola, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10 gramme gold in local market dropped by Rs943 to Rs236,797.
This means that one gramme of gold in Pakistan now costs Rs23,679.
Gold price on Thursday had witnessed a single-day increase of Rs2,100 per tola.
Internationally, gold prices also dipped on Saturday, with the price of per ounce falling by $11 to $2,650, including a $20 premium, as reported by APGJSA.
In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs3,400 per tola.
USD to PKR rate
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed Friday’s trading session at Rs278.05 against the US dollar (USD), showing little change from Thursday’s rate.
Over the past week, the rupee lost 29 paisa against the dollar. Since the start of the current fiscal year, the PKR has appreciated by 29.12 paisa (0.10 per cent) and by Rs3.81 (1.37 per cent) in the current calendar year.
